Taxlign collects information necessary to provide its HubSpot–Xero synchronization service. This includes:
- Account information — name, email address, and organization name provided during sign-up.
- Connection data — OAuth tokens for HubSpot and Xero used solely to perform synchronization on your behalf.
- Usage data — pages visited, actions taken, and sync logs to monitor service health and improve the product.
- Payment information — billing details processed by Stripe. Taxlign never stores raw credit card numbers on its servers.
2. Data Usage
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- Providing and maintaining the synchronization service.
- Processing transactions and managing subscriptions.
- Sending service-related communications (e.g. sync failure alerts, billing receipts).
- Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Improving Taxlign features and user experience through aggregated, anonymized analytics.
3. Data Sharing
Taxlign does not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted third-party processors that enable our service:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Vercel — application hosting and edge functions.
- Sentry — error monitoring and performance tracking.
We may also disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental request.
4. Cookies
Taxlign uses essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Analytics are performed in aggregate without identifying individual users.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your personal data and account.
- Export your data in a portable format.

6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business purposes.
